Air Music in Australia

Ocean Saxophone Quartet

The Ocean Saxophone Quartet is an Asian-Australian ensemble based in Melbourne. All four members were born in their respective Asian countries, who later grew up in the multicultural cities of Australia. Inspired by the idea of oceans connecting distant lands, the quartet brings together rich cultural stories through their music. Their mission is to share music from their familial roots with new audiences while continuously exploring and learning from cultures around the world.

Since meeting members of this quartet since 2019 at the annual Asia Pacific Saxophone Academy, Kenny Tsai has since endorsed the Ocean as Air Music artists. All four members use Air Music neckstraps, ligatures, and weighted screws, from soprano to baritone and in a wide range of performance settings.
